BATEV19, successful closing with more than 65,000 visitors

The most important exhibition of the construction and housing sector continues to grow in number of visitors. This year, 65,840 people passed through La Rural during the four days.

BATEV - International Exhibition of Construction and Housing was closed on Saturday May 25 in La Rural. In its 26th edition, the participation figures have shown a significant increase compared to the previous year, reaching 65,840 visitors.
BATEV19 counted with the participation of more than 158 national and international exhibitors, who exhibited their products and services on a gross exhibition area of ​​14,964 m2. They are more than eloquent numbers in the context of a sector in which uncertainty predominates in the months leading up to the elections.
"We are very happy with the results of this edition and we hope that next year the growth of BATEV will accompany a reactivation of the sector," said Rodolfo Echevarrieta, Commercial Director of the expo.
The success of the meeting was also evidenced during the conferences held in the Auditorium of the exhibition that addressed an agenda that included short-term issues in the sector and a look at the main advances and projections for the future.
On Wednesday 22, the round table "La mirada de los CEO's" was held for the second year in a row, which was attended by Ricardo Griot, Secretary of CAMARCO, Fernando Martínez, CEO of Tecnoperfiles, Eugenia Ctibor, President of the Industrial Chamber of Cerámica Roja (CICER), Miguel Camps President of Argencons and AEV and Jorge Abraham and Lucas Cáceres Managing Partner and Marketing Manager of Tucson SA, respectively. The speakers addressed various issues related to the present sector and gave their opinions on what can be expected after the elections.
The day of Wednesday was completed with a second table, under the charge of the AEV, under the title "The real estate market in general and the current real estate landscape" and of which its President, Miguel Camps, its Vice President, Gustavo Llambías, participated. and the Chief Counselor, Gustavo Ortolá.
Finally, the cycle of conferences continued with two presentations of great relevance. First, economists Evelin Dorsch, Managing Partner of Consultora Ledesma SRL and Santiago Bulat, Associate Economist at Invecq Consulting, discussed "the national economy and policies related to construction and housing". The economic view was complemented by the political vision of the consultants Federico González, Federico González y Asociados and Pablo Romá, from Circuitos who referred to the latest polls conducted around the presidential elections.

 
On Thursday 23 the conferences continued with the cycle of approaching BIM (Building Information Modeling), a methodology that allows to create digital design simulations and intelligently manage information throughout the life cycle of an architecture project. Under the title "Trends in the world of construction", the cycle of three talks, which was sponsored by the Association of Housing Entrepreneurs (AEV), was coordinated by Mario Mauer, and featured exhibitions by Javier Núñez, founder and coordinator of Training of the BIM Fórum Argentina, Enrique Tellechea, CEO of BIMSYS and Nicolás Ruggiero, co-founder and CEO of EDILIZIA.
The last part of the day was dedicated to sustainability issues. First of all, Erico Spinadel, President of the Argentine Wind Energy Association and a reference in the country in the use of renewable energies, spoke about "Civil Works for wind farms". Finally, the academic activity of the day concluded with the panel on energy efficiency in construction, moderated by the architect Hernán Barbero Sarzábal, and of which Lucila Rainuzzo, National Director of Access to Soil of the Secretariat of Housing of the Nation, Gustavo Di Costa, participated. , adviser of the Industrial Chamber of the Red Ceramic (CICER) and Pablo Diéguez, titular adviser of the Professional Council of Civil Engineering (CPIC).
The activities in the Main Auditorium of the exhibition closed on Friday, May 24 with the delivery of the traditional Clarín ARQ Awards that awarded the most outstanding of the national architecture.
In addition, BATEV19 had a Workshops room open to all attendees, where several leading companies in the sector carried out demonstrations and training on the use of their products.
Participated in the exhibition this year outstanding personalities from the public and private sectors as Ivan Kerr, Secretary of Housing of the Nation, Miguel Camps, President of the Association of Housing Entrepreneurs (AEV) and Gabriel Pascual, President of Exhibitions and Fairs of the Argentine Construction (EFCA), among others.
