The 2026 National Industrial Forest Census will be launched on June 24 in Entre Ríos, Corrientes, Misiones and Buenos Aires, articulated with the national government. This federal survey, crucial for sectoral planning, will seek to know the installed capacity, technology and export potential of the producing provinces. In a context of productive transformation, opening of new international markets and important investment projects, having updated and accurate information on the reality of the sector is essential to plan its development.
For this reason, the National Directorate of Forestry-Industrial Development of the Ministry of Agriculture calls on all companies linked to the chain to participate in the 2026 National Industrial Forestry Census, promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation. The survey aims to update the productive, technological and economic information of the activity throughout the country, generating a statistical base that allows more precisely dimensioning the contribution of the sector to the national economy and designing public policies according to its needs. Each industrial establishment Anyone who participates in this survey will receive a unique link directly to their email. Through this link, companies will be able to confidentially and securely complete a self-managed questionnaire, ensuring the privacy of the information provided. The participation of companies is key. The data collected will contribute to improving knowledge about productive capacities, employment levels, investments, industrial transformation processes and growth opportunities of the entire forestry value chain, including the production of pulp, paper, cardboard, packaging, biomaterials and other wood-derived products. Having reliable statistics allows us to strengthen the institutional representation of the sector, support industrial promotion initiatives, identify infrastructure and competitiveness needs, and make visible the economic, social and environmental impact generated by the forest-industry in the different regions of the country. We especially call on companies in the pulp, paper, cardboard, packaging, tissue, recycling and other related activities sectors to join this initiative. Each response contributes to building a more complete and representative x-ray of one of the most sustainable and strategic production chains for the future of the Argentine bioeconomy," the organization reported. Participating is a concrete way to contribute to the institutional strengthening of the sector and to generate valuable information to boost its growth, competitiveness and international insertion.
