In Baradero, INTA will have the first self-built office in wood

Based on the Canadian construction system, of simple and modulated prefabrication, the 120-square-meter work is sustainable and presents a construction and maintenance cost 30% lower than the traditional one. Solar panels and thermo tanks, among the innovations.

Located within the premises of the Municipal Nursery of the Buenos Aires city of Baradero, the new INTA office will have 120 square meters for work, meeting and recreation areas. It is the first self-built, simple and modulated prefabrication with eucalyptus wood that stands out for its low costs, easy assembly and sustainability. During its assembly, in addition, a training was given.

Osvaldo Espina - INTA infrastructure manager - confirmed that "it is the first self-construction in wood for offices for the agency" and announced that there are other projects in the country for next year. "It is a first great step in this type of construction with the Canadian construction system that allows us to expand INTA's territorial presence at a much lower cost and time," he said.

Along the same lines, Darío Ceballos - director of the INTA Delta of Buenos Aires - celebrated the construction of this development office in Baradero, which he considered "strategic" because it allowed the deployment of action in the middle Delta, with islands that only Access by water.

The new development office of INTA will move from the Baradero Central Post Office to the Municipal Nursery, which will allow expanding territoriality and improving the link with producers. A first example of this was the course that was given while the office was being built. More than 20 people were trained in the Canadian construction system at the rate of work progress and with the help of Pablo Peri - coordinator of the INTA National Forestry Program -, Ciro Mastrandrea and Martín Sánchez Acosta - INTA Concordia technicians, Entre Ríos - .

“We are specialists in the Canadian system of construction in wooden houses and we participate in the design and training of the operators for the prefabrication of the parts and the construction management. In addition, we teach a course during the work to the people of the region ”, indicated Sánchez Acosta. For his part, he highlighted the efforts of the INTA Delta staff who "had no experience and learned as they went along with great enthusiasm and dedication."
