Bolivia: El sector forestal registra balanza comercial positiva
Después de seis años de mala racha, el sector forestal durante el primer semestre de 2018 registra nuevamente una balanza comercial positiva, situación que los entusiasma y genera expectativa.
Daniel Gutiérrez, gerente comercial de la Cámara Forestal de Bolivia (CFB), informó que al primer semestre de 2018, las exportaciones a Estados Unidos decrecieron 8% comparado al mismo periodo del año pasado, pero que continúa siendo el mercado donde más se comercializa productos maderables con más de $us 8.5 millones seguido por China con $us 4.3 millones.
“A junio de esta gestión, las exportaciones del sector forestal llegaron a los $us 28.1 millones, superando a las importaciones que llegaron a los $us 25.8 millones, dejando una balanza positiva de $us 2.2 millones en los primeros seis meses. Esto no pasaba desde el 2015”, manifestó el ejecutivo de la CFB.
En este marco, Gutiérrez resaltó que ya han exportado en valor el 55% de lo comercializado durante toda la gestión 2017 que fueron de $us 51 millones, situación que genera expectativa en este sector por que espera terminar el año con una balanza positiva.
BRASIL CONTINÚA VENDIENDO A BOLIVIA
Gutiérrez también indicó que Brasil continúa siendo el principal mercado de origen de tableros, aglomerados y melaminas abarcando el 65% de las importaciones con $us 16 millones, seguido de China con $us 3.2 millones.

Diego Justiniano, presidente de la CFB, dio a conocer que la Autoridad de Fiscalización y Control Social de Bosques y Tierra (ABT), aprobó una nueva directriz para permitir exportaciones de madera de hasta 10 pulgadas de espesor de 17 especies alternativas.
“Con esta medida se va a beneficiar al país, en especial a las comunidades indígenas y campesinas de la Chiquitania cruceña, Pando, Beni y La Paz, que es donde existe mayor abundancia de dichas especies”, acotó el ejecutivo del sector forestal de Bolivia.
