MULTI-PURPOSE MACHINES FOR DIFFERENTS AND SIMULTANEOUS WORKS · MULTI-PURPOSE MACHINES · ShopBot Fourth-Axis Rotary Indexer allows for horizontal rotation of a part being cut or machined on a ShopBot CNC. It provides precise, indexed control of the rotation of the part in a fourth axis of work. Having a fourth axis enables profiling of a shape, decorative ornamental work and intricate 3D carving. A tool included in the ShopBot Control Software allows users to cut profiles and spindle turnings; make rings, spirals and twists; wrap text around a cylinder and surface blanks to a cylinder or polygon. With additional software such as ArtCAM Pro or Aspire, or by using the ShopBot Digitizing Probe, the Indexer will cut complete 3D rotated models in wood, plastic, non-ferrous metals and foam.
