Experts in the field of industrial digital printing will be meeting for the fourth time at INPRINT 2017 – this time in Munich. Hymmen will be there once again, at Stand 234 in Hall A6. With 10 years of experience in industrial single-pass digital printing, Hymmen, as established technology partner, is constantly building on its many pioneering innovations with ongoing developments.

“When we laid the foundation for single-pass digital printing with the establishment of our first laboratory facility in 2007, nobody could have imagined that we would be digitally printing an area of more than 40,000,000 m2 annually with our machines,” remarks Dr. René Pankoke, managing partner and CEO of Hymmen GmbH Maschinen- und Anlagenbau, as he looks back on the early days of Hymmen. Many of the major globally active timber manufacturers have since integrated Hymmen digital printing machines into their production processes.

Whether laminates (CPL/HPL), floors, kitchen worktops, furniture, kitchen fronts, base boards, edging strips (ABS, PVC, PP), decor paper and finish films, or other applications in the building industry such as façade elements as well as doors and gates – use of Hymmen digital printing technology is extremely widespread. And this is not just limited to the visual realm. With the assistance of Digital Lacquer Embossing (DLE), even haptics can be digitally applied. There are seven different models in total. All Jupiter Lines print single pass at a speed of up to 50 m/min and an optical resolution of more than 1000 dpi. The standard coloursystem comprises CMYK plus white. Special colours are also used. Up to 320 printing heads can be installed. Hymmen uses different UV inks for different applications and substrates. These have been proven to work very well in industrial settings, particularly with subsequent melamine impregnation, while also ensuring the machines operate safely and reliably in three-shift operation. The printing widths range from 230 to 2,100 mm.

Milestones in the development of industrial digital printing by Hymmen include:

  • The world’s first single pass digital printing machine with a width of 2,100 mm
  • Digital edge printing for plastic edges up to 4 mm thick
  • Digital Lacquer Embossing
  • More than 40,000,000 m2 of flooring is printed digitally by Hymmen machines every year
  • Compliance with stringent quality standards in the area of decorative surface coatings
  • Significant increase in the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of production by dispensing with analogue processes
  • Straightforward integration of digital printing due to excellent knowledge of processes and methods
  • In-house testing by Hymmen engineers of upstream and downstream digital printing processes at the technical centre
  • UV ink for use in melamine pressing

Hymmen looks forward to meeting you at Stand 234 in Hall A6 at this year’s INPRINT trade fair in Munich. What can you expect? Films showing our machines in action and product samples to demonstrate the outstanding quality of Hymmen digital printing technology and to fire up your enthusiasm!
